The first of this year’s vet student groups has just spent just under 2 weeks with the conservation and wildlife team here at Shamwari Game Reserve.
This programme has been running for many years and has been devised to offer a once in a lifetime experience for veterinary students from around the world.
This particular course had students heralding from USA, Canada and the UK and over the 12 days they learned a multitude of wildlife management techniques including how to make darts for chemical game capture, how to undertake an autopsy, how an anti-poaching unit is run and many other skills.
This video will give you the perfect insight into the experience and hopefully will inspire you to come and be part of our team for a few weeks. For more information on the Vet Eco Experience please Contact Us
