Opportunity: Social Media Intern with Shamwari Conservation Experience.
Period: Fixed term contract on agreed calendar period, of between 3 months and 3 years.
Remuneration: Salary or Stipend, linked to skills sets and in house perks.
The candidate will be required to strategize and plan the social media programme and posts across the five integral platforms currently in use for Shamwari Conservation Experience. These include Website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+ and YouTube. Material has to be current and informative, with education and awareness as the primary objectives. Each day you will be responsible for collecting and reporting on various material from game drives, conservation activity and reserve developments, which include community and social development projects.
All posts and reports must be geared towards SEO maximisation and improving position on Google searches, as well as communicating the story for the Conservation Programme. This includes a monthly report back to the Management team on progress across all platforms demonstrating successes and learning points.
A main focus will be to attain key video footage of activities on the reserve and communicating these across the platforms in a timely and efficient way. Responsibility to advertise activity and footage across third party channels and industry specialist sites.
You will have to work with the website team and learn about the content management system in order to be able to take full control of all websites. You will be directly responsible to the Marketing and Product Development Manager for Shamwari Conservation Experience.
You must have the ability to work independently and be incisive with decision making. Hours are varied, and will include weekend work.
